Epson Stylus SX115

The Epson Stylus SX115 is not quite an entry level multifunction though it is price like one. Cheap multifunction printers should always trigger alarm bells because they are usually the printers of choice for rip off printer ink cartridges. A set of replacement Epson SX115 ink cartridges costs just under £30 from competitive retailers when bought in a multi-pack which isn’t too bad and a good sign of things to come. Compatible Epson ink cartridges are also available which cost half the price of the originals and offer the same print quality and yield the same amount of pages. Performance figure for the SX20 are impressive and certain lives up to them in terms of print quality, all types of documents have a profession look to them which is a unexpected surprise from this budget printer. Scanning and copying are also performed to a good standard and the copier even works without the need for a PC. Another function that can be performed without the need for a PC is printing photos directly from a memory or digital camera thanks to the SX115’s built in memory card reader and PictBridge connection. The SX115 is an amazingly compact machine and the built quality feels very solid and that’s down to the fact that Epson have used good quality plastic mouldings in it construction. Overall it’s a useful device with an affordable price tag and running costs.
